Founded in 1869, A.T. Ferrell Company is a U.S.-based manufacturer of grain processing equipment, flaking systems, and material handling equipment. Headquartered in Bluffton, IN, our equipment not only serves industrial and agricultural needs in North America, but also
around the globe!
A.T. Ferrell’s history traces back to the Civil War, when founder John E. Smith created the first air and screen grain cleaner in 1869. After initial success with the flour mill business, he later invested in becoming a grain buyer and trader. Albert T. Ferrell, an employee of Smith, recognized the broad possibilities of Smith’s invention. Ferrell bought the company in 1891, and went on to sell over 20,000 models of grain cleaners by the onset of World War II. Today, with global ties extending worldwide, over 60,000 units remain in working condition– a testament to both the continued quality and durability of our products.
